Scheduling & Lesson Rates

Private lessons are either at Coire’s studio in Park Slope (Brooklyn), or at your home if it’s close by, and also given on Skype if preferred.  Lessons are 45min (children only) and 60min (adults) and rates are available by contacting Coire here.

Lesson times are anytime between 10am and 10pm, everyday. 

Lesson time slots are the same time each week, if at all possible.  Consistent lessons allow for the best long-term results. Once a student has selected his/her weekly lesson time, it is their time slot every week.  If a student is unable to have lessons on a weekly basis (due to work constraints etc) other times can be agreed upon, scheduled in advance.

Absences, Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy

Scheduled absences are not a problem as long as the students overall attendance is good. A student will not be charged for any lessons he/she requests off in advance.

Any lesson cancellations must be made 24 hours or more, prior to the appointment, or the lesson is considered paid in full.  Coire will work hard to try and reschedule a student who has canceled/missed a lesson, subject to his current availability, but there is no guarantee he will have an open slot for a make-up.  Lesson make-ups have to be scheduled within one week of the canceled lesson or the lesson payment will be forfeited.

Please be on time to your lesson and being 20 minutes late or more is considered a cancellation.

Correspondence/Other Stuff

Correspondence should be done either by email or text message.  Only call my cell phone if you are canceling the day of the lesson, or late for a scheduled lesson.  Thank you.

No food is permitted in-studio.

I am happy to provide a quality guitar for you to use at the lesson—no problem at all.  This makes traveling easier!

Audio recording of lessons is encouraged—this will help you out in your practice greatly!  Video recording is even better–bring those smartphones with you!

Despite all these rules, lessons are fun!
